Fun, engaging lessons tailored to suit what you want to get out of the drums. At On The Beat drums, we deliver a specific lesson experience to you, to help achieve your drumming goals.
MASTERCLASS & WORKSHOP OPPORTUNITIES
We put on regular masterclasses and workshops with top industry professionals. As an On The Beat Drums student, you get first refusal to these events.
ON THE BEAT DRUM JAM SESSIONS & STUDENT CONCERTS
Take part in our annual student concert, where you get to take to the stage and perform a song of your choice. You also get the opportunity to take in our termly jam club, a fun relaxed way to improve and meet other students.
WHAT WE COVER
TECHNIQUE & SOUND DEVELOPMENT
Building control, consistency and a strong, confident sound on the kit.
This includes stick control, hand technique, footwork and developing tone around the drums.
Timing & Groove
Developing solid time, feel and musical awareness through groove study and playing along to real music.
Coordination & Control
Strengthening independence between hands and feet, improving control and fluidity across the kit.
READING & GRADE SUPPORT
Learning to read drum notation confidently, with structured support for Trinity and Rockschool-style grade work where desired.
Confidence & Performance Skills
Helping students feel comfortable behind the kit — whether that’s playing to others, performing live, or simply enjoying their progress.
